Blog Episode 11
My Systems are Stardust
Stardust otherwise known as cosmic dust or space dust.
Fragments from the particles floating in space. Yesterday, it was announced that actual grams of an asteroid would be returning to the Earth in September 2023 from the International Space Station. It is one of the largest amounts of the most micro of asteroid or space rocks since the Apollo brought back moon rocks.
While I never quite got into the equations that a rocket scientist must know, I certainly am a fan of outer space discoveries and wonders of the universe. The beauty, power, age and history are truly awe inspired. That the most teeny amount of a micro organism can prove things to NASA and help us understand our place in the grand scheme of things and where we fit in the timeline. I am so grateful for the scientists that actually can figure that stuff out and we get to benefit from their discoveries.
In building a business, there are things we need to do that are also macro and micro to its existence. Systems that include how you will be paid, how you get your business noticed and accepted, how you will communicate, how people will reach you and and how you reach them and so much more. Some things are just necessary and other things excite an entrepreneur. Now it differs per person what viewpoint of the systems it is. For me, I love the marketing. I love promotion and public relations. I love building my content for blogs and being creative. I love helping others discover their own aha moments. The other stuff, well, I am learning or push myself to do and the benefit of knowing what I do well is that eventually I can hire out all the other stuff to leave time for just that.
My systems are stardust. They are the particles that eventually form my creation of my own new world. Like a scientist in a lab, I get to form a good portion of its shape, design and work around the other elements that I can’t control. Like pressure around coal to produce a diamond, or the pressure of water around an oyster to produce a pearl. The potential from pressure is what produces the value in what we do each day. It is working with nature, not against by learning and doing, focusing and finishing. Yes, end results are the big goal but those small stardust particles of lessons learned, trial and error, getting better in your gifts and skill sets are truly stardust. It is a cosmic gift to spend each day living with purpose and drive. There are setbacks. It is a given. But as many have said for a few years now, it is how we pivot. Coping from lifelong moments that have saddled us for too long can turn into the very thing that excels our story into the stars.
We reach out to others who nurture in the nature and create new opportunities for existence. A life of chances, occasions, breaks and prospects. Breaking free from the things that held us in one orbit to then move into another that show we are not alone, that prove we were here and that we create a legacy for generations following.
Stardust and dreaming when looking at the moon and stars always gives me hope and wonder. Coaching can turn that stardust into STARTdust.
P.S. When I pick my topics to blog about it is purely random on the days I choose to post them. But today also happens to be Twilight Zone day and the day Albert Einstein presented the theory of general relativity in 1916.
Everything for a reason, right?
Truly all things are possible when we have a new perspective.
