Under Construction for My Internal Infrastructure
Almost time for the traditional mecca to the roadways and that means one thing. Traffic jams due to under construction.
Granted we have to wait on the weather to ease up on the rainy season of spring so they can lay the foundation for new roadways or seal pavement.
It is just challenging, especially after 2020 to not go take a vacation or road trip or fly somewhere or take a train or ship or even a camel. Now I am not sure besides sand, what infrastructure the camel needs but for the rest of it, Infrastructure is a giant word in the vocabulary of transportation.
For years we have heard that all of it just needs a reboot, a revamping, a renovation, a restructuring. Roads, bridges and other things have deteriorated and we need to fix it before it is too late and something collapses.
It is the same for our internal infrastructure.
Sometimes we just go because it is necessity but we haven’t taken the time to go under construction ourselves. Sometimes we don’t always see the changes that negatively impact us until things begin to crumble.
We always hear about self care being a way to do daily maintenance – exercise, diet, pampering, meditation, etc.
Taking the time to do self reflection is a way to prevent future problems.
As a coach, I am just a mirror in front of you so you can see things that you hadn’t noticed before. The issues that were unclear before all of a sudden appear before you and the identity you want to have begin to lay new foundation that is fresh and smooth. The bumps in the road all of a sudden are flattened and you are able to progress ahead in simple delight.
Reading, learning and motivation are tools to find tune our internal infrastructure.
